The beautiful coastal nature reserve of Huisklip is a 300ha paradise and home to an abundance of wildlife, indigenous plants and incredible rock formations.

The high mountains, deep gorges and rugged coastline are covered with tall indigenous forests and vast, unspoilt stands of the Cape’s unique fynbos. It borders the Tsitsikamma, and is truly a place of abundant waters with rivers and cascades tumbling to an ocean lined with rocky crags and white, sandy beaches.

Beautiful indigenous forest is home to ancient trees such as Yellowwood, Stinkwood, Hard Pear, Ironwood, Kamassi and many others. Over time, rivers have cut awesome gorges through the coastal plateau as they flow down to the spectacular coastline of Huisklip.

Please keep in mind that the road to Huisklip crosses private farmland and should be respected at all times. SUV and often 4×4 is recommended. Park at the top of the escarpment as no driving on beaches is allowed.
